What do you need in order to set up an event?
Casino Special Event requests a 10 foot X 10 foot area; however, we can be slightly flexible depending upon the layout of the venue. We also need one standard wall outlet. It is best if the venue can provide us with two 6-foot tables (skirted to match the rest of the décor), but we have tables if needed. If your event is outdoors, please contact us to discuss weather precautions and safety measures.
Do you do outdoor events?
Yes, we do! However, we need protection from wind and rain. Computers and printers have difficulty operating in temperatures over 95 degrees, so please keep that in mind.
How long does it take to create a Flip Book?
It takes between 2-3 minutes. It takes 7 seconds to videotape whoever is in the Flip Book and the rest of the time is set aside for putting the books together.
How many people can I fit in a Flip Book?
Let’s just say, as many people as you can fit into our display in less than 7 seconds!
If we’re at an event and we have 4 people in a Flip Book, can we all get a copy?
Yes and no. Let us explain how we operate to make it fair for all of your guests. Since it takes us a minute-and-a-half to make each Flip Book, if we make 4 Flip Books of the same group of people, the next person has to wait 6 minutes before we can even begin working on his or her Flip Book. The result is a long line of people waiting around for their Flip Book and not enjoying your party! So, here is our solution, which has worked out very nicely! We make one Flip Book for the group and tell them that if they would like a copy of that Flip Book to bring it back to us when we aren't as busy. We can pull up that saved file and make copies as time permits. This is great for our client because we keep the line moving and are still making Flip Books even when we aren't crowded! Of course, if no one else is in line at the moment, we'll make copies right away.
How many Flip Books can you produce within an hour?
Between 40-45 books. This number all depends on the cooperation of the guests and the number of retakes and copies they want us to do. However, retakes are the most time consuming and will be done based off of people’s inappropriate behavior, e.g. people sticking their tongues out or giving the finger.
What extras go along with Flip Books?
For each additional hour, Casino Special Event offers their clients something extra. For one (1) additional hour, the client is able to have scrolled slogans or words on the bottom of the Flip Book. For two (2) additional hours, the client is able to have a customized front and back cover for their event, completely geared toward the client’s wishes. However, with events that have over 50 Flip Books made, custom covers are free of charge.
How can we show our clients your work without letting them know your business name?
If you send us a 7-10 second video clip of your work, we can format it into a Flip Books sample for you to use for your clients. In addition to creating a customized Flip Book for your company, we also provide our vendors and event planners with blank sales aids, with a space for you to put your own logo.
We are interested in using 'Casino Special Event’ Flip Books as a Save the Date card – can we do this? Yes, it’s a very creative and unique idea! Pre-made Flip Books also make great Thank You cards or can be placed around the tables if your budget is tight.
How much do Flip Books cost?
Flip Books are charged by the hour, not by the book. For a minimum of two hours, it costs $500 per hour.
Do you need to pay for Casino Special Event’ travel expenses?
Yes and no. Let us explain our travel arrangements. Casino Special Event will travel far and wide to ensure that your event is perfect! Many of the venues that we work at provide parking, free of charge, and have limited tolls. So we feel as though we should not charge you if they’re not charging us! The only location that we charge an additional fee of $100 is when we travel into New York City. Due to high toll prices, limited parking and the potentiality to get parking tickets while unloading, we feel as though it is only fair to charge an additional fee to cover our costs. However, if your venue does have a parking lot, we are more than happy to negotiate New York City travel expenses with you!
